intersectional social equity
With a background in sustainable food systems my purpose has always been to decolonize the interconnected components of our food system at the intersection of social justice and social innovation. My goal is to create spaces where efforts to promote fairness, equity, and justice intersect with innovative approaches to creating positive social change. Ensuring that all members of society have equal access to opportunities, resources, and rights regardless of their background, identity, or circumstances.
My efforts are grounded in a commitment to social justice values and principles while identifying creative and innovative approaches that leverage community engagement, partnerships, and interdisciplinary collaboration to drive progress toward a more just and equitable society.
I have worked with a variety of organizations including but not limited to The Center for Black Educators, Dev/Color, North American Food Systems Network, Chicago Food Policy Action Council, and University of Florida.
I am an intersectional social equity strategist.
My Strategy
My aim is always to amplify, advocate, activate, and give agency to those in need. As your strategist, my primary role is to design and implement strategies, policies, and programs that address social inequalities and promote equity. This may involve conducting research, analyzing data, and working with stakeholders to identify areas where interventions are needed.
I am committed to creating a more just and equitable society by working towards eliminating systemic barriers and promoting the well-being of all individuals, regardless of their background or identity such as race, gender, class, ability, and sexuality, which all intersect to create varied experiences of oppression and privilege.
My Expertise
I help businesses and organizations create an identity that is clear, strong, and reflective of what they are as an inclusive entity.
Who You Are
You are a business or organization that wants to take the right measured steps beyond your normal DEI practices. You don't just want to check the box of diversity and equity, but want to embody it to its fullest. This includes, but is not limited to staff hiring practices, brand marketing and development, internal and external communications, and public community engagement.
